The LabLynx acquisition system is a battery-powered wireless device that records electrophysiology data from digital multiplexing headstages and transmits to a router up to 10 meters distant (depending on environment.) Unlike the FreeLynx, LabLynx is not a subject-mounted device. Instead, LabLynx receives digitized neural signals from up to 4 lightweight, wired, digital multiplexing headstages (HS-xx-mux) for 16 to 256 recording channels.
With its small size and minimal setup requirements, LabLynx is easily moved between experiment locations – ideal for use in new or established labs and in the classroom. Very flat frequency response from each electrode accurately records both low-frequency Alpha and Theta oscillations, and high-frequency Single Unit Action Potentials.

As a battery-powered device, LabLynx is not exposed to noise from AC power lines during recording. LabLynx has digital I/O ports for experiment control and may be configured for optogenetics experiments. With a full-featured Cheetah license included, LabLynx is a very cost-effective and capable entry acquisition system for electrophysiology when paired with low-cost Digital Multiplexing Headstages.
Extremely stable, user-friendly, high-performance software package backed by two decades of continuous development, Cheetah Software is the ultimate solution for neural signal processing, display, recording, and network data distribution for real-time experiment control and analysis. Cheetah software is required for use of LabLynx and is included with system purchase.
Cheetah SoftwareLabLynx uses Digital Multiplexing (MUX) Headstages, digitizing neural signals on the headstage to reduce wire count, weight, size, and cost. These headstages are available in 16, 32, or 64 channels. Optional 36-pin Omnetics connectors (32/64 channels) interface implants and EIBs from other manufacturers. MUX headstages are available with built-in Fiber-mounted LED (FLED) signal lines for use with our simplified optogenetic stimulation solutions.

All Neuralynx acquisition systems are compatible with our video tracking solutions, supporting position, navigation, head direction and grid cell studies with multiple targets. Video tracking data is synchronized with neural signal data by Cheetah Software, enabled through a separate VTS license.
Utilize a simple, lightweight, easy-to-use optogenetic stimulus solution: Halo Microdrives and Fiber Mounted LEDs (FLEDs). These devices incorporate an independently-adjustable light source into the microdrive as an additional shuttle, delivering consistent blue, green, amber, or red wavelengths without additional optical connections, patch cords, ferrules, or FORJ.
