Saturn Commutator

Low profile powered commutator for twist-free tethers, allowing subjects to exhibit more natural behavior and unencumbered movement

Features geometrical reconfiguration from traditional stacked slip rings to concentric tracks. Results in a drastically lighter and more compact design – simplifying overhead mounting.

Supports all Neuralynx buffered and MUX headstages, and tethers, with appropriate input adapter.

16 to 160 channels (1 to 5 headstages)
Motorized with micro-torque tether rotation sensor
Low profile ceiling mount
Through-bore cannula for optical fiber or fluid delivery
Easier to install
Sealed against dirt and dust
Lower initial cost, plus upgrade option for adding signal channels without purchasing an entirely new commutator

Included:

Brackets for ceiling or behavior cage top mounting – attached to commutator by Neuralynx prior to shipment. Brackets can be inverted for ceiling mount applications.
